In August 2016, I partnered up with Caxton to go find an adventure. My criteria for the adventure was this: it had to be short, it had to be simple, it had to be somewhere I had never been, include something I had never done, and fit inside a budget of less than £500. Why? Because for most people with jobs and a spare weekend, all of these are typically within reach.
There’s a grand misconception about adventures, which is that they have to be a major undertaking which requires years to plan, months to train for, and lavish budgets that demand major sponsorship from corporate brands. While there are some incredible adventures out there that fall into that category, there are far more adventures accessible to the rest of us. So on this adventure, I set out to prove just that.
